At Kyrö Distillery most of the staff have always been interested in social issues and current topics. And they tend to talk a lot about them. Even the contradictory and painful subjects.
But they’ve also been quite frustrated about the public conversation and talks in media. It has seemed that social media’s anonymous rampaging and hate speech is suddenly taking over more and more of the conversation.
Kyrö Distillery wanted to do something for it.
Because Kyrö Distillery wants to be an active part of the surrounding society, they decided to open their doors and invite a bunch of people to sit around Kyrö’s Table and talk things through. As a result they published five discussions – religions, feminism, poverty, racism and urbanism – where people with different backgrounds discussed with good manners and mutual respect. All topics were chaired by a acquainted moderator.
Kyrö’s table is place where everyone come as a friend and leave as a friend. Respectful discussion is possible despite of the different views.
Welcome to Kyrö’s Table.
Måndag helped Kyrö Distillery to design a concept and curate the discussions. Måndag also planned and executed the marketing strategy for Kyrö’s table.
