How to make your NGO heard?
Måndag organised the ACT OUT! association marketing peer training in collaboration with RAY and EJY ry. The three-day course was meant for employees of associations and NGO’s who work with recruiting members, employee commitment issues and communication: for those whom successful communication is vitally important. The event was extremely popular and all of the seats were filled in two days.
The speakers included for example Ilpo Kiiskinen from the Finnish Red Cross, talking about recruiting new volunteers. Sanna Jääskeläinen from Helen Oy covered business collaborations and participatory marketing. Sini Harkki from the Finnish Greenpeace discussed social media and mobility in the digital world and Camilla Nurmi from Vamos who talked about finding collaborators. Marketing channels, the significance of events in marketing and questions about buying marketing and design services were also discussed. In addition to the presentations there were also four panel discussions in which Johanna Eurakoski from Kepa, Sanna Vesikansa from Save the Children and Jenni-Justiina Niemi from Visual design agency Keksi and many others discussed pressing topics in the field.
The event was highly successful and hopefully this was the first of many more to come.
