What is a Nordic Smart City like?
Nordic Built Cities is a multidisciplinary contest that aims to find solutions for six urban challenges. The organisation behind Nordic Built Cities challenge is Norden – a nordic innovation organisation that aims to promote Nordic co-operation. The Nordic Built Cities challenge is looking for solutions for urban challenges located in Espoo, Sege Park, Runavík, Copenhagen, Karnes and Oslo. The competition launches in a matchmaking event in Stockholm on November 5th, 2015. Over November and December, there will be organised tours of all six locations taking part in the challenge. The first deadline for submissions is on December 17th, 2015. The solutions that are selected to participate in the second phase of the competition will be announced in February 2016 and the winner of the Nordic Built Cities challenge in June 2016.
Måndag was selected to design the concept, communications and marketing for the Finnish audience as well as work in sync with the other Nordic marketing teams.
Måndag has invited people of influence as well as top specialists from architecture, design, art, engineering, start-ups, activists and multitalented individuals to first take part in the matchmaking event in Stockholm and then in the competition. A few of these influencers were interviewed about urban development for the social media campaign to promote the challenge.
