Surprisingly many women have the same secret. They have had to face violence from their partners. In Finland, the female targeted violence is common and secret. Every third doesn’t anyone tell about the violence. Together we can end violence.
Share the secret is a campaign of the Naisten Linja- support organisation, aiming to end domestic violence and covering up about it. A group of reknown artists participate in the campaign and make secret stories visible. One cannot like the stories but one can like art, and both can be shared. Shared secrets aren’t secrets anymore.
Things start to happen in mid May. We will publish pictures, music and texts from reknown Finnish artists on the Facebook page of Naisten Linja. There is a real story of violence from a Finnish woman behind every work. You can share art made of secrets on your own Facebook wall, change your profile picture to match ours, publish your statements on our page, donate media space, join the Naisten Linja as a supporting member or become a volunteer.
