The Network for Preventive Substance Abuse Work: The City for All
Ehkäisevän päihdetyön järjestöverkosto
The campaign is aimed at increasing people’s sense of safety, security and comfort in public places and in public transport. During the campaign, people are asked to share their experiences and memories of public places. The Helsinki Poetry Connection uses these real-life stories to create poems. The City for All campaign had its debut in Autumn 2018 in the Helsinki public transport system, with poems performed in the Helsinki Metro. In Autumn 2019, the campaign was brought to public transport in Turku, where poems were performed on the M/S Jaarli, a light traffic ferry that crosses the Aura River. The campaign was organised by the Network for Preventive Substance Abuse Work together with Måndag and various other collaboration partners.
