Companies and communities around the world are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Hope Fund offers the opportunity to compensate emissions ethically and sustainably, helping communities that suffer the climate change the most.
Hope Fund projects are already being implemented in Kishapu, Tanzania and in Udayapur, Nepal. Hope Fund train local communities to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to changed living conditions. Communities grow seedlings, plant trees and take care of the forest. In addition, communities strengthen their food security by growing fruit trees in the yard and making wood-burning stoves, hunting bees and developing good ways to live with the forest in a sustainable way. The projects are implemented in a cooperation with local authorities.
Hope Fund is organised by Felm, the Finnish Missionary Society. Felm has promoted human dignity and justice around the world already for 160 years. The fight against climate change is a key factor in how human rights are being implemented around the world.
