Dubai Cares: Education that works for all
GIVING VOICE TO YOUNG PEOPLE AND INFLUENCING EDUCATION THROUGH A VIDEO CONCEPT
The global education summit, RewirEd, led by the charity Dubai Cares, was looking for a partner to create a video series that would open the three-day event and its theme days. The purpose of the videos was to inspire and activate event attendees to reflect on global educational issues and join forces to jumpstart the positive change towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
The RewirEd Summit aimed to bring educational stakeholders together to discuss solutions for developing future education around three main themes: Youth, Skills and Future of Work, Innovation in Education and Education Financing. The event organizer Dubai Cares is a UAE-based global philanthropic organization advocating for children’s rights, and a member of the United Nations Department of Global Communications and a registered non-government organization under IACAD. Dubai Cares is playing a key role in helping achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning by 2030, by supporting programs in early childhood development, access to quality primary and secondary education, technical and vocational education and training for youth as well as a particular focus on education in emergencies and protracted crises.
In line with the theme, Måndag planned the key messages and created a set of seven videos with the concept ‘The Voice of the Youth’, including a creative idea, script, project management and video production together with a partner. The video series was presented at an event in Dubai in December 2021. The event was attended by more than 70 different organizations as well as viewers and participants from around the world.
